The powertrain of the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid is a study in premium performance and next-gen efficiency. Pairing a classic Subaru BOXER® gas engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and an electric motor and battery combo, this new Subaru Hybrid earns up to 581 miles on a single tank of gas. That means it gets 40 percent better city fuel economy than the conventional Subaru Forester.* This powertrain also provides plenty of thrust, to the tune of 194 horsepower for all four trims.
The upper trims in the lineup come especially ready for off-road adventures. Their features include hill-descent control, paddle shifters with eight simulated gears, and multiple drive modes for improved traction in diverse conditions.
Infotainment
Every 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid offers the latest infotainment features.
