2026 Subaru Solterra vs. Subaru Trailseeker

2026 Subaru Solterra Vs. Subaru Trailseeker

There’s even more electric capability joining the 2026 Subaru Solterra in the Subaru lineup, with the new 2026 Subaru Trailseeker offering even more space and off-road-ready power. If you’re one of our drivers at Mid-Hudson Subaru who loved the first Subaru EV, this new model will offer even more excitement. Compare them below and get ready for the future of Subaru EV performance!

Power and Performance

With the 2026 Subaru Solterra, you have a choice of a standard single-motor powertrain, delivering 233 horsepower, or an available dual-motor setup, giving this SUV up to 338 horsepower. The 2026 Subaru Trailseeker will only come with one dual-motor powertrain, and with 375 horsepower, it’ll have a slight edge over its sibling. Adventurous features like standard dual-function X-MODE® on both models make them more than ready to explore off the beaten track.

Towing and Cargo

If you want to tow a trailer, camper, or another vehicle, the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker has you covered. This new Subaru EV will be able to tow up to 3,500 lbs, and thanks to its longer wheelbase and taller roof, it offers a bit more cargo space than the 2026 Subaru Solterra, too. That doesn’t mean the Subaru Solterra isn’t roomy, though, as it has space for up to 63.5 cubic feet of cargo with its rear seats folded.

Range and Charging

Both the 2026 Subaru Solterra and the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker use a 75-kWh battery pack, but because of the smaller size of the former, it gets a little more range. The 2026 Subaru Solterra can drive for up to 288 miles without stopping, while the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker comes standard with up to 260 miles of charge. Both 2026 models also feature pre-conditioning, so you can set your interior’s climate while the car is charging to extend your range even more.

Technology Features

The 2026 Subaru Solterra and the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker each feature cutting-edge infotainment systems, including standard 14-inch infotainment touchscreens—the largest ever available in a Subaru vehicle. Both models come with standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ support and dual wireless chargers, so you can access your favorite apps and arrive with a full battery without plugging anything in. No matter which Subaru EV you pick, you’ll be fully connected on the way.
